Why I write
I’ve been a prolific writer for as long as I can remember, though not necessarily a great one. Cliché or not, writing is part of who I am. I write to learn, to remember, to fan the good fire in each of us.
My focus on “the forgotten” arose from deep loss and was further flamed by the injustice of history’s focus on the big picture and its indifference towards the intricate brushstrokes that make it whole.
What I write
Creative non-fiction: “True stories, well told.” Current focus areas include collective biographies, online media, and a historical fiction screenplay centred on themes of race, feminism and family.
Here, I’ll share what I learn along the way, as well as articles about anything from dingoes, personal growth, hiking to creative nonfiction. Sign up for dingo updates, and of course, some serious stuff too!
About Me
Born and raised in country Victoria before moving to Sydney where I graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Commerce. Chasing a more country–like life, I flew across the Nullarbor and have called Perth my home for over twenty years.
Professionally, I’ve been writing and publishing online for over ten years and I graduated with a Master of Writing from Swinburne University. I specialise in writing and content development, editing and publishing digital media.
